Medical Education Society
Dundee Medical Education Society (DUMES) is a student-run society providing high-quality revision events and mock OSCEs for Dundee medical students. We aim to help students do the best they can academically, and gain confidence with practical skills. The teaching at our events is primarily provided by students, unlocking the benefits of peer-to-peer education, as well as being great experience for teaching later in your career, and looking great on a portfolio! Our events are not-for-profit, meaning any access fee is either put into running events or donated to charity. In the past we have raised money for the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance Service and Alzheimer Scotland.We’re proud to have received the Faculty of Medical Educator (FaME) Award for Best Overall Student Society in 2019, ’20, ’21, and ’22.This year we are delighted to be back to face-to-face teaching events, including an MSK mock OSCE, Special Senses teaching and Communication Skills for transfer students.
